The men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity want to encourage fitness and healthy living in accordance with our Fraternity’s national initiative “Live-Well-06”. The registration fee of $15 covers your participation, Alpha Walk T-shirt, and water/refreshments served. All proceeds will go to support the “Go To High School, Go to College” mentorship program and other service initiatives.
We will meet 9:30 a.m. at the Riverfront Park, near the Gateway building fountain. The walk will start shortly thereafter. Please return your registration form by August 3rd, in order to be guaranteed at T-shirt. See an Alpha to get your registration form today!

Cruise along the picturesque Illinois River and relive the adventures of Mark Twain as the sounds of the calliope drift through the valley.

River City Soul Fest on Peoria’s RiverFront – August 17-18, 2012

One of the Peoria Park Districts signature events returns to the RiverFront in 2012. The first day (8/17) of the River City Soul Fest celebrates Gospel music with national headliners Isaac Carree and Byron Cage. Carree and Cage bring a national pedigree of Gospel praise & worship never seen before at Soul Fest!

Day two (8/18) will feature local talent on stage to open for the classic headlining act, The Spinners. Nominated for multiple Grammy Awards and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Spinners will bring their exciting set to the RiverFront’s Festival Park for the 2012 Soul Fest!
